Data deletion instructions

You can remove moribot's access to your account and delete your data at any time. This page explains how, for businesses and for people who messaged a business that uses moribot.

Businesses using moribot

1. Sign in at moribot.net/app and open Settings.
2. Choose Remove data to delete your Instagram connection, access token, conversations and rules. Your moribot login stays.
3. Or choose Delete account to delete all of the above and your moribot login.

Deletion is immediate. You can also remove moribot from Instagram: Settings and activity, then Website permissions, then Apps and websites, then remove moribot. Instagram notifies us and we delete your access token, conversations and rules for that account right away.

If you cannot sign in, email info@moribot.net from your account's email with the subject "Data deletion request".

People who messaged a business

If you messaged or commented on a business's Instagram account and moribot handled it, email info@moribot.net with the subject "Data deletion request" and include the business's Instagram username and your own Instagram username.

Requests sent through Instagram

If you removed moribot in Instagram and asked for your data to be deleted, Instagram gave you a confirmation code that links to this page. We deleted the access token, conversations and rules for that Instagram account when the request arrived. Quote the code in any email to info@moribot.net about it.

What happens next

We confirm your request within 3 business days and delete the matching messages and profile data within 30 days. We reply to your email when the deletion is done.
